Handmade Scented Candle: Relaxation Enhancer

Published by Tiffany under Scented Candles

If you are like the typical person you are busy nearly every minute of the day. Life moves quickly and if you are going to keep up you too have to keep going, almost nonstop, day in and day out. Our modern conveniences have made it possible for us to cram more into our days than our parents and grandparents ever thought possible. We can now stay in touch with friends, relatives, and colleagues as we attend to other tasks. And for many, thanks to the ease and mobility of the Internet, we can work from our home, at the office, or even while we?re on vacation thousands of miles away. The truth is that our advances have brought with them many benefits, but at the same time they also add to our workloads and stress. It seems almost impossible to find time for relaxation. In fact, when we do have a free and quiet moment we may be at a loss as to how to go about relaxing. Our minds and bodies have gotten used to the constant motion and chaos of life. But medical science tells us that we all need to relax. Relaxation is good for the mind, body, and spirit. It allows us to realign ourselves and once again create a sense of balance within us. An excellent way to relax is to enjoy a favorite hobby or to read a book or even watch a movie. The idea is to become engrossed in something so deeply that you are removed from the reality of the stresses of life. This provides the relief that your body needs. This truly is a part of a healthy lifestyle. When you first begin incorporating this ?me? time into your routine it may feel very strange. You may feel selfish or even as though you are wasting time. To help yourself adjust to the change of pace it is a good idea to do whatever you can to assist with the relaxation process. Your senses play an important role in how your body perceives any given situation. From sights and sounds to the feeling of fabrics and the fragrances in the air, our senses work to alert our body to danger or to restful zones. Cool colors, soft sounds, comfortable fabrics, and pleasant smells like those from a handmade scented candle work together to create a soothing environment.

Ginger Galespie is a self-proclaimed modern day hippie. She is a free-spirited individual that spends much of her time enjoying nature, practicing yoga, and meditating. Fragrances play an important role in creating the atmosphere of relaxation and tranquility that are so vitally important to Ms. Galespie. According to her, practicing yoga or meditating without the wonderful scent of an all natural candle or essential oil candle is akin to eating without tasting. Ms. Galespie insists that the fragrance is an essential part of the experience.
